The Ranger (Bushland Parks) position will deliver all maintenance tasks, natural resource management, recreation management, and visitor management (including campgrounds) associated with the day-to-day running of our client’s bushland park estate, as well as assisting in other operational areas.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Implementing approved bushland park maintenance.
- Undertaking bushland park management/maintenance works on geographically dispersed natural areas as directed, including infrastructure maintenance, visitor management, fire management, pest management and compliance monitoring.
- The operation and maintenance of a wide range of motorised and non-motorised tools and equipment, keeping them in good order and ensuring they are used in accordance with operator’s manuals, procedures and good practice.
- Performing job accountability tasks, including but not limited to, the keeping of spray records, time sheets, diary entries and contributing to group reporting.
- Liaising with and handling enquiries from residents, ratepayers, and members of the public.

**To be successful for this role you will have**:

- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or related field, or a combination of relevant experience and competence which enables the incumbent to perform all duties of the position.
- Current ‘C’ Class or ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence.(”MR” preferred)
- White Card
- ACDC Commercial Operators Licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Chainsaw (basic felling, chainsaw safety, maintenance and crosscutting) competency certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bushfire Fighter - Crew Member Accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
- “HR” class licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Restricted Coxswains Ticket (or willingness to obtain)

**Desirable Licences/Qualifications**:

- Forklift operator’s licence.
- Bushfire Fighter - Crew Leader Accreditation.
- Working in Proximity to Traffic - Awareness Part 1 and Part 2.
