What began as a group of local families coming together to provide education and opportunity to their children has today developed into a thriving business supporting more than 1,500 participants across seven Local Government areas.
**Description**:
Support Workers required on a permanent part time roster 10 hours a week to assist people with a disability within a supported living home environment.
On the job training and support provided
Providing support such as personal care, companionship, daily living skills and attendance of appointments
Provide compassionate care and respect and be engaged in meaningful opportunities for our participants
Must be available to attend shifts throughout the afternoon, evening and weekends
Work within a team environment
Homes based around the Maitland area
**Skills and Experiences**:
Have an understanding of person centred approaches and Active Support
Driver’s License
First Aid Certificate
Well developed written and verbal communication skills
Time management skills
Behaviour support training Experience
Professional/Technical Skills
Sufficient practical experience
Proven ability to work unsupervised
Working within an NDIS environment
Understanding of or experience working with persons with a disability
Experience working with participants with high intensity supports - highly regarded.
Required checks include Police check, WWC, NDIS WC, Reference, Medical and Full vaccination of COVID 19.
