We are seeking an experienced **Principal Information Analyst** for an **initial 6-month contract with 6-month extension** office based in the Brisbane CBD.

**About the Role**
In your new role will report to the Manager, Digital Capability and you will plan, implement, and evaluate information management initiatives.

You will deliver key projects to ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures, as well as empowering business areas to realise benefits from effective information management practices.

You will be responsible for working with a range of stakeholders to plan and implement projects, undertake detailed analysis, and provide expert advice and recommendations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Analyse current business processes, information systems and data sources, and provide advice and recommendations to ensure compliance with Queensland Government legislation, policies and procedures relating to information management and governance.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Simplify business operations through efficient, effective, and complete data and information management processes.
- Elicit and document business rules and complete business process mapping where required.
- Undertake business and information systems analysis in consultation with stakeholders to obtain a comprehensive understanding of business issues and risks across the information asset lifecycle.
- Deliver a range of capability uplift initiatives focusing on records management.
- Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence.

**About You**

To be successful for this role, you will possess the follow below:

- Highly experience with elicitation of business rules and business process mapping (using BPMN or similar) and business process re-engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business analyst procedures and practices
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and work across multiple initiatives and varying stakeholder groups.
- Ability to manage the development and implementation of business and functional requirements with a team effectively and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills as well as the ability to articulate organisational and business objective.

**The Benefits**
This opportunity offers you a 6-month contract with 6-month extension and an hourly rate of **$100 per hour + Superannuation**(negotiable).

The client offers flexible working conditions split between work from home and their Brisbane CBD based office.
