Event Runner

VIPeople are the industry leading supplier of professional and friendly Casual Event Staff to a wide variety of sporting and entertainment venues throughout Australia and we are thrilled to be hiring staff to work at Cirque Du Soleil.

**Important Dates**

Pre
- event shifts begin 11th November -23rd November 2024

The Show runs from 24th November 2024- 9th February 2025

Shifts generally range between 9am - 6pm (Wednesday - Sunday, as required)

**Location** -Under the Big Top, The Entertainment Quarter (122 Lang Rd, Moore Park NSW 2021)

To be considered for this opportunity you **MUST** be available to **5 days** a week regularly over the duration of the shows( Show dates
- Wednesday to Sunday ) This includes evenings and weekend shifts.

**Runner**

Working Hours: 35 - 40Hours, 5 days per week (Subject to change according to the show schedule)

**Primary responsibility**
- Running errands,
- Sourcing, purchasing, buying, pick-up and delivery of local purchases for the Site Operations Department and other departments;
- Handling and balancing petty cash daily;
- Keep the Cirque du Soleil production vehicle clean and tidy (CDS provides the vehicle);
- Help the Purchasing & Administration Coordinator (PAC) source local suppliers for the next market;
- Have a valid Australian driver's license and an excellent driving record;
- Must know the city and places to source technical supplies promptly
- Have knowledge of construction/technical materials
- Must be trustworthy, punctual and reliable
- Have good logístical and organisational abilities
- Able to work under pressure and on changing schedules
- Good knowledge of English and the language of the Region
- Comfortable with heavy lifting, working on one's feet for up to 10 hours, working within a loud environment
- Availability for the whole city duration 11th November 2024 - 13th February 2025

Have a valid White Card (Construction Induction) or willing to obtain one if successful in the role

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.83 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
