**What you’ll deliver with us**

As a Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for operating and overseeing our Enterprise Data Governance framework, providing leadership to our Data Governance community, and managing our Data Governance and Data Management policies and standards.

Partnering with peers across Enterprise Compliance, Cyber Security, and the Business, you will coordinate our Data Governance Executive Steering Committee, and lead the delivery of committee priorities and projects, to establish a culture of data excellence and secure data governance.

Supporting our Data Management teams, you will develop, and maintain our Data Management Policies and Standards that define the minimum expectations for how Data Management functions should operate, ensuring our data landscape is maintained to minimise data risk, while balancing a need for data innovation.

**You’ll also**
- Contribute to the data governance maturity by supporting Data Stewards and their representatives in data governance processes, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure projects and initiatives meet Data Governance requirements and deliverables as specified.
- Serve as a liaison across technical and business teams to ensure data related business requirements incorporate data governance obligations are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood.
- Assist in the development of process, procedure and systems design and implementation that lifts data governance across APG.
- Support the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide data flows, system lineage, metadata and active data definitions using the Enterprise Data Dictionary.
- Contribute to the production of Data Governance metrics and reports used to monitor the implementation of Data Governance. Contribute to and support the Enterprise Data Team.

**About you**
- 5+ years’ experience in a Data Governance role (preferred).
- Experience with data governance toolset, Collibra/RDM/IGC (preferred).
- Ability to manage business stakeholder expectations, influence task/project direction by quantifying quality/risk to project or business context.
- Previous experience developing new Data Governance framework in an enterprise environment with maturing data literacy.
- Previous experience working in a varied landscape of legacy data systems, and cloud operated services.
- Ability and experience to continually challenge the safety, efficiency, quality and customer centricity of processes.
- Previous experience Identifying and addressing process barriers and non-compliance.
- Knowledge of major industry Data Governance Frameworks (DCAM, DAMA etc).

You will have exceptional analytical, problem solving and communication skills and experience providing advice to all internal and external stakeholders regarding Data Governance, to enable understanding and applicability of obligations.
