CEO - Tourism Noosa

**About the Role**

The CEO will report to the Chair and work closely with the Board, leading and supporting a committed and dedicated team. The role is responsible for Communicating and implementing the vision for tourism in Noosa - through excellence in marketing, position Noosa as the most desirable and sustainable tourism destination for visitors, provide economic benefit and value for members, the community and tourism sectors.

The CEO is expected to identify, manage and monitor all key result areas to ensure member satisfaction, growth, statutory compliance, and ongoing systems improvement.

Success in this role will require; the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships and networks, commercial savvy, a collaborative approach, and demonstrated knowledge of destination marketing.

**About You**

You are already a respected leader, with an intimate knowledge and understanding of the critical economic, social and environmental factors affecting Australia’s tourism sector.

You will possess:

- Tertiary qualifications in Tourism, Marketing, Business or relative discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years senior management experience in tourism or a related industry
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- A creative approach to marketing, including digital/social media
- Proven skills in consultation, liaison, negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolution
- Proven skills in financial and human resource management
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of a strategic marketing and business plans.
- Knowledge of Noosa/Sunshine Coast/Qld Tourism/travel industry structure and products.
- Good relationships with Tourism Australia (TA), Tourism & Events Queensland (TEQ) and other tourism bodies
- It is desirable for you to have experience managing LGA relationships - this role will have a close relationship liaising heavily with the chief funding body - Noosa Shire Council.
