Maitland Football Club is an outstanding premier league football club located at Cooks Square Park, East Maitland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic canteen manager for the 2024 Premier League Football Season.

Approximately 16 hours per week starting February to end of September.

The canteen manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the MFC canteen.

Key responsibilities:

- Planning, organising, and managing the Friday night, Saturday and Sunday operations of the canteen, daily record-keeping, opening and closing the canteen, preparation, and cooking for service.
- Assisting with the development of the volunteer canteen roster.
- Providing leadership to the canteen volunteers to ensure the delivery of quality food and ensuring a cohesive and effective team.
- Ensuring food preparation and food handling is undertaken in accordance with the Food Safety Act 1984 by all people in canteen.
- Counting, recording, and reconciling the daily takings according to MFC policy and requirements.
- Ensuring that stock is kept at appropriate levels.
- Restocking fridges and food warmers when required.
- Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of others in the canteen including undertaking a canteen risk assessment for hazards according to WH&S legislation.
- Working with volunteers to clean equipment and canteen area pre and post use.
- Ensuring a pleasant working environment for the volunteers and a pleasant canteen experience for players, families, and visitors.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Food Handling Certificate (Supervisor)
- Relevant Food Handling Experience
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

**Salary**: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
