**About the role**

This is a key leadership position that is accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours. The role supports and encompasses bed management and patient flow, ensuring high quality patient care and outcomes, is responsible for the after-hours running of the facility, including policy compliance, processes and services.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will lead a passionate team of nurses and collaboratively work and consult with on-shift doctors to ensure the best practice and patient outcomes are achieved.

The ability to work weekend and evening shifts is essential for this role.

Essential
- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (Registered Nurse)
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and extensive clinical skills and experience
- Previous experience in a management position - NUM/After Hours Manager/Patient Flow/Bed Management
- Sound understanding of contemporary Human Resources Management practices
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program
- Ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
- Ability to lead and motivate others

Desirable
- Post graduate qualifications in a clinical speciality area
- Post graduate qualifications in Health Administration and/or Management
- Sound Computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook)

**Remuneration**

On offer is a base hourly rate of **$60.18 **+ superannuation **+ casual loading **based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife 3.1)

**About Our Hospital**

Caboolture Private Hospital is a fully accredited surgical and medical hospital situated in the outer Northern reaches of Brisbane - at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

This hospital has 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital.

Caboolture Private has leading Specialists consulting in major disciplines, providing an excellent level of clinical care. Patients can have their own choice of Specialist, receive consultations in the onsite consulting suites and have access to private hospital accommodation, all in one central location.
