**Company Overview**:GN Stone Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based stonemasonry company specializing in designing and installing natural and reconstituted stone surfaces. Our services cater to both residential and commercial projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and custom stone installations.

**Position Summary**:The Stone Mason is responsible for the skilled installation, cutting, shaping, and finishing of stone surfaces for various residential and commercial projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and execute custom designs. The Stone Mason will contribute to the company’s mission of delivering high-quality stonework and exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Stone Installation: Design and install natural and reconstituted stone surfaces, including benchtops, splashbacks, and feature walls.
- Material Preparation: Review blueprints and plans, determine materials and methods, and prepare bases with damp proofing and mortar.
- Stone Cutting and Shaping: Cut, shape, and polish stone materials to meet project specifications.
- Project Management: Ensure accurate placement and alignment of stone, manage project timelines, and maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Repair and maintain existing masonry structures as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- AQF Certificate III in Bricklaying and Block laying or relevant trade qualification in stonemasonry.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in stonemasonry or a related field.

**Essential Skills**:

- Expertise in stone cutting, shaping, and installation.
- Precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and execute custom designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Gross Annual Salary: 75000 plus super
- Expected Number of Hours per Week: 38 hours
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
- Working Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM
