**About Molecular Imaging & Therapy**

The Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy (MIT) is the largest academic Nuclear Medicine Department in Australia, and has comprehensive clinical service activities, as well as an Internationally renowned research program. The Department has four core clinical service components: Nuclear Medicine imaging, Radionuclide Therapy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Bone Densitometry. The Department also produces radioisotopes on site with in-house Cyclotrons and radiochemistry and QC laboratories and undertakes a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic examinations and research studies.

**About the role**

This role is responsible for the operational leadership and oversight of the cyclotron, radiochemistry & QC laboratories & staff in MIT. A regular day will see you:

- Oversee and participate in manufacturing, dispensing & QC of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals
- Review, refine and develop operational frameworks and procedures for the laboratories
- Participate in the development of new molecular imaging probes and therapies
- Contribute to scientific & research programs within MIT

**About you**

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

- Extensive knowledge of radiopharmaceutical production and quality control
- Experience working in medical research and laboratory settings
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage and lead an established team to achieve projected goals and targets
