Tax Specialist Associate

The Company:
MARS are partnering with a large and leading Financial Services company based in the CBD, who are looking to hire a Tax Specialist Associate on a permanent basis. They boast a high performing and collaborative culture with progression opportunities to enable you to enhance your career. This role sits within their Corporate and Investment Banking Division and is responsible for developing Australian tax reporting solutions to support clients as they migrate between the legacy and global platforms.

The Responsibilities:

- Supporting client model office’s highlighting methodology differences, inclusive taxation reporting changes, tax in price changes and or distribution methodology changes
- Managing working groups documenting and validating client and operational requirements
- Providing technical tax guidance to support the client migration to the global platform
- Solution assessment & validation - working with project team members and stakeholders to assess proposed internal and external vendor solutions and subsequent operating models
- System Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Production Verification Testing. Including the creation of test scenarios, test scripts, execution of testing and stakeholder sign off
- Change Management including creation of Implementation Plan
- Development of user guides, training manuals, control updates and the delivery of training to the wider business
- Experienced in Superannuation & Investment manager tax reporting, tax in unit price solutions and distribution calculations
- Establish and maintain relationships with key operational divisions with the focus on identifying areas for technical and operational improvements

The Requirements:

- Degree educated with a CA qualification
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar function
- Funds services experience
- Tax within financial services
- Strong communication skills
