**Our Branch**

Transport for Brisbane (TfB) operates one of Australia’s largest public transport enterprises to meet the needs of Brisbane’s public, as well as visitors to our city. With a large fleet, we help facilitate around 238,000 journeys for residents and visitors to Brisbane every weekday. We will also be the operator for new and exciting Brisbane Metro high capacity electric vehicle services - Brisbane’s city shaping transport network project.

**The Role**

As a Maintenance Quality Officer you will ensure the integrity of bus maintenance standards by assessing ongoing maintenance requirements and quality of maintenance undertaken in your depot as per the established, standards, procedures and benchmarks.

**General job tasks will include**:

- Carry out Audits to ensure compliance in accordance with defined standards and fleet maintenance requirements
- assess and provide remedial on the job training to maintenance employees
- coordinate distribution of information on maintenance issue standards, policies and procedures to employees
- conduct safety investigations and contribute to improvement of Workplace Health and Safety systems
- respond to, diagnose and manage projects such as maintenance or safety issues
- research and analyse data and to inform diagnostic issues and improve branch operations.
- foster productive relationships with internal divisions, contractors and third party stake holders
- productive participation in Tool box meetings along with on the job training.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to manage a team
- evidenced reporting skills
- outstanding interpersonal and time management skills
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- the capacity to share your time over both day and afternoon shifts is essential
- an impressive track history of diagnosing bus defects or an expertise on vehicles you have worked on
- proven ability to conduct regular audits and safety checks, in accordance with Bus Maintenance Standards.
- Working in Council means delivering excellent customer service to the people of Brisbane._

This role may require a Criminal History Check, or you may be required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment to assess your ability to perform the genuine occupational requirements of the role.
