Georges River Council owns and operates six Early Learning Services across our LGA located at Beverley Hills, Carss Park, Kogarah, Penshurst, South Hurstville and a new purpose built service in Oatley West. Council’s Early Learning Services educate and care for approximately 400 children with enrolments continuing to grow. We have a team who have been recognised for excellence in Environmental Programming and we are proud of our Reconciliation Action Plan which is developed in consultation with Aboriginal staff and community members.

Our educators take pride in their Early Childhood Education profession. We adhere to the guidelines, practices and regulations surrounding the National Quality Standards (NQS) and regularly review Self-Assessment Tool. Our services strive for excellence with two of our services receiving an overall exceeding rating by ACECQA. Our staff appreciate that we are a culturally diverse, united, supportive and social team. **About the Opportunity**
- Developing relationships that support and partner with families as well as support and supervise staff on a daily basis.
- Ensuring the service is compliant with the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Regulations 2011 and other legislation.
- To develop and maintain strategies, policies, procedures and plans necessary for the effective operation of the centre. Oversee implementation and review annually to ensure currency and relevance.
- Ensure the service’s Self
- Assessment Tool is regularly updated and implemented and that the organisation works towards exceeding the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care.
- Ensuring that the service and staff act on the centre and organisation’s commitment to continuous improvement wherever possible.

**What we can offer you**
- Permanent, Full time - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $101,733.00 - $117,872.94 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation

**What we're looking for**

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant University Qualification or Diploma TAFE in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor of Teaching/Education (Early Childhood), Diploma of Children’s Services.
- Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates.
- Current working with children check with clearance.
- Knowledge and understanding of all current legislation government early childhood education and care.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement Early Years Learning Framework National Quality Standards.
- Extensive demonstrated experience working in Early Childhood settings.
- Experience in a leadership role with proven ability to lead a team in the provision of a quality service.
- Demonstrated skills that will enable successful staff supervision.
- Experience developing, monitoring and reviewing a centre budget.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to relate to people at all levels within an organisation.
- Proven ability to organise and implement programs.

Desirable
- Intermediate Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of and ability to speak a relevant community language e.g. Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Greek.
- Food Handling and Preparation Training or Certification.
- Experience as Nominated or Responsible Person of an early childhood education and care service.
- Experience as an Educational Leader, Practicum Advisor or Staff Trainer in an early childhood education and care service.
- Experience working in local government.
- Certificate IV in Assessment Workplace Training (BSZ40198 or its equivalent).
