**About the Role**

Reporting directly to the QLD Service Deli & Seafood Operations Manager and based at our Rochedale Head Office, the successful applicant will assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of all Queensland Service Deli departments, in order to achieve sales, income and expense budgets.

You will be given the opportunity to treat the department as if it were your own business, with the flexibility to tailor each stores delicatessen products to meet the specific needs of the customers within the local area.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Achievement of Key Performance Indicators
- Identifying, implementing and executing strategic business plans
- Providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Completing department walks with both the Service Deli Manager and Store Manager
- Mentoring service deli department managers to achieve key financial and departmental objectives
- Stock management including shrinkage prevention and merchandising
- Quality control and compliance
- Overseeing departmental operations
- People management, coaching and development
- Ensuring departmental compliance with all Food Safety Standards

**Skills and Experience**

We are seeking a pro-active leader to take on this rare and exciting opportunity. The successful applicant will have the following skills:

- Minimum 5 years experience in a supermarket management role
- Previous service deli retail experience is required
- Proven ability to achieve financial budgets
- Experience with stock management including merchandising and shrinkage prevention
- Experience coaching and training team members
- Successfully implementing procedures and executing strategies
- Sound communication, organisational and dispatching skills
- Strong people management and coaching skills
- High level prioritisation, organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and effective decision-making ability
- Understanding of general WHS safety policies and procedures
