An exciting opportunity exists for 2 qualified Dental Assistants to join the Dental Team at Maryborough District Health Service. This position is responsible for providing high quality dental assistance support to client groups and their families. The dental assistants will work closely with Dentists, Dental Therapists and other Dental Assistants

**Dental Assistant - Smile Squad - Permanent Full Time**
- Classification_: DY12 - DY17 dependent on qualifications and experience _
- Award_: _Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025_

An exciting opportunity exists for 2 qualified Dental Assistants to join the Dental Team at Maryborough District Health Service. This position is responsible for providing high quality dental assistance support to client groups and their families. The dental assistants will work closely with Dentists, Dental Therapists and other Dental Assistants.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

**Qualifications / Experience**
- Experience and well developed skills as a qualified, accredited Dental Assistant, or willingness to undertake training
- Experience with and/or an understanding of Infection Control and sterilisation standards within Dental practice.
- Understanding and experience of Dental radiography processes.

**Specialist Expertise**
- Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake a broad range of clinical and non-clinical duties.

**Personal Qualities**
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to staff development, continuing education and quality improvement
