Within our Industrial & Waste Services division we provide total waste management business solutions to our customers including industrial cleaning services such as non-destructive digging, concrete demolition, high pressure water blasting, vacuum loading, shutdown services, pipe, drain and tank cleaning, emergency spills response and CCTV.

We have an opportunity in this newly created role for an Asset Operations Manager to join our dynamic team.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the National Fleet Manager, and with key peer relationships to the National Maintenance Services Manager and National Technical Manager, you will be required to:

- Lead programme management for asset initiatives and facilitate continuous improvement disciplines across the Asset Management portfolio
- Have day-to-day accountability for the integrity, use and development of Asset Systems including GPS, camera systems, asset ERP, digital pre-starts risk assessments and asset/people competency
- Maintain data sets and conduct data analysis to track cost to operate and provide insights to the maintenance team
- Monitor KPIs across the asset portfolio to highlight improvement opportunities, waste or developing risks
- Develop strategies to improve utilisation and fluidity of assets through expansion of hired, loaned and shared pooling of equipment
- Work with operational managers and the sales team to support tender cost inputs, asset strategies and mobilisation programming for large contracts
- Ensure asset purchasing and disposal processes are carried out to under appropriate contracts, are in line with corporate process and maximise commercial benefit
- Lead the delivery of campaign management and process for recall, improvement and safety modifications of assets
- Develop and maintain the asset programme of work and associated tools to track activity in line with project management disciplines
- Lead the delivery of Asset Services across fuel, statutory compliance/licencing, fine management, hire control and accident claim management to improve standardisation and reduce complexity

**Skills and experience**

To have success in the role you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, logistics or similar is preferred
- Significant experience in similar role/s
- Knowledge of logistics and maintenance systems
- High level of mathematical skills
- Demonstrated understanding of heavy vehicle assets and supporting equipment
- Ability to analyse and make recommendations from complex and diverse data sources
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
