**About the Opportunity**:
The OPAL Maintenance Instrumentation & Control Technician delivers quality maintenance services within Nuclear Operations of ANSTO and ensures that OPAL Reactor’s equipment is in safe working order, available and complies with relevant standards. The role is part of the team that maintains all of the nuclear reactor advanced instruments and control systems.

**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant and equipment relevant to discipline in accordance with approved procedures to contribute to OPAL reactor safety and reliability.
- Undertake reactive maintenance work for breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner by liaising directly with clients to investigate, identify and provide solutions for problems relevant to discipline.
- Escalate complex maintenance issues that cannot be resolved to relevant Maintenance Supervisor and/or Engineer for guidance.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment relevant to discipline and report any identified issues.

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in Instrumentation & Control (or other relevant discipline such as industrial electrical trades).
- Relevant industrial experience in maintenance of plant and equipment in Instrumentation and Control.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment (Desirable).
