**About the role**
- We are seeking an individual who is looking to grow with the business. A permanent full-time position for a Driver Trainer / Assessor is available based out of our depots in Wodonga, Wagga, Sydney, Goulburn, and Canberra/Queanbeyan with Ron Finemore Transport. The role is responsible for, but not limited to, recruitment, induction, driver review and training. The position would ideally suit someone who has worked in a similar environment, is methodical, gets on well with a multitude of different people and has good communication skills.

**Some of the key role requirements**:

- Ensure adequate training of identified drivers in conjunction with manager.
- Ensure that adequate training is provided to maintain and upgrade the skills of drivers.
- Work well as a part of a team including recruitment of other trainers.
- Driver observations at RFT yards and customer sites.
- Deliver practical and classroom-based training.
- Travel to Metro and Regional customer sites to implement training solutions as required.
- Ensure new drivers are inducted, trained, and have a full understanding of our business requirements and their responsibilities.
- Enforce and monitor compliance.
- Document and report issues to management

**About you**:

- You are self-motivated, calm, and considerate individual who enjoys a challenge and working in a fast paced, customer focused environment. You have a passion for safety and lead with safety first. You will have worked in a similar environment before, are detail focused and able to work well with others to achieve outcomes. You have excellent communications skills and are comfortable and just as able to communicate effectively with the leadership team as with front line staff on the ground. You are computer literate and have a history of contributing to the improvement of existing systems and processes.

**Skills and Qualifications required for this position**:

- Industry understanding of OH&S legislation.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - TAE40116 (desirable but will accommodate completion of TAE within 6 months after probation period)
- Heavy vehicle drivers licence (HC/MC)
- Ability to work in a dynamic role, with forward thinking.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with drivers to get the best outcomes for the business.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office tools
- Contribute to the improvement of systems and the working environment.
- Self-motivated and enjoys a challenge.

**Remuneration**:

- Annual salary to be determined according to the applicant’s level of skill and experience.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check, national crime check and have the right to work in Australia.
