What you’ll do:
We are currently looking for a Project Finance Specialist with some previous experience to become integral members of the Finance team based in Sydney.

The role will be based in our Sydney office with the option to work from home 2-3 days/week (if desired). You will support project teams locally and nationally.

This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Corporate Finance whilst being part of a large group of like-minded professionals across Australia.

You will:

- Make project accounting recommendations throughout the Project Lifecycle
- Monitor project budgets and investigate any variances
- Interpret financial information to support project management and commercial decisions
- Champion data integrity and ensure accurate financial information is recorded in the ERP
- Assist with subcontractor engagements
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients
- Manage multiple projects of varying values at any given time
- Attend project-related meetings to inform the team regarding the status of project financials
- articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed

About you:
This role is strategically important to our future growth and impact.

We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude, who is consultative, able to prioritise their work and get things done.

Some of your experience will include:

- Proven experience working in project finance administration experience is needed for this role
- Tertiary qualifications highly regarded
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Joint Venture and Alliance experience will be highly regarded
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and pick up new tasks quickly

Whilst you will ideally have previous Project Finance experience, we're also open to talking to a commercially savvy accountant who wants to influence the business to create value or a contract administrator with engineering/construction experience keen to transition to finance.
