**About the Opportunity**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Analyst to join our team in a fixed term contract until September 2025.

As our new Technical Analyst, you will make a difference daily by providing technical assistance across the multiple internal and external stakeholders of Knox City Council. Key responsibilities will include supporting BAU along with minor and major IT projects, internal and external stakeholder management, deliver Knox IT vision. You will report to the Infrastructure Lead and work collaboratively with the Chief Information Office team facilitating success on several of our key projects.

This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will be $104,630.20 - $117,345.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**:
The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Undertake daily maintenance, reporting and monitoring of IT infrastructure including LAN, WAN, SOE, Storage & backup, Virtualization, Azure, Microsoft 365, windows server, hardware and associated technologies.
- Support the minor and major projects as a technical point of contact ensuring the project deadlines are met.
- Provide technical and problem analysis, advice and preparation of reports and installation, testing and piloting of new technology including out of hours related support.
- Participate in the delivery of IT projects, including aspects of a complex technical nature, including the delivery of new technology under strategic and managerial direction.
- Contribute to the development of IT security policies and write technical specifications, reports, business cases and other related documentation.
- Deliver cross functional technical services, by working together with peers, sharing skills and knowledge and promoting a professional department image and the value of the IT unit.
- Understand customer business and issues, service desk priorities and objectives and take an active role in accomplishing these objectives.
- Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and submit recommendations for improvements in network operation and management.
