**Head of Marketing & Communications - Ongoing, Full Time (5 days per week)**
- AFTRS is the national screen and audio school - the only Australian education institution to consistently make The Hollywood Reporter‘s prestigious annual list of the top film schools in the world. Working hand-in-hand with the screen and broadcast industries, AFTRS is a global centre of excellence that delivers the highest level of screen and audio education, training and research across Australia._

We are looking for a self-driven and experienced Head of Marketing & Communicationsto join our Partnerships & Development division. This role will create, manage and deliver a marketing strategy and content that optimises student enrolments and promotes and positions the school across AFTRS social channels, website, EDMs, and across all paid media outlets. You will lead the team to develop and deliver the marketing strategy, communications strategy and lead a team of internal and external partners to commission content to achieve marketing objectives.

The Head of Marketing & Communications works closely with the Head of Student Recruitment & Admissions to create the most effective data driven and creative campaigns. This role is also focused on the development and implementation of AFTRS communications plan for key stakeholders - including screen/audio industries and government - and will provide regular briefings to the AFTRS Executive team.

**About the role**:

- **As the Head of Marketing & Communications at AFTRS, you will**:_
- Work with Head of Student Recruitment & Admissions in the development of high-level marketing strategies and implementation plans to promote AFTRS award courses and short courses to different customer market segments and achieve business objectives.

**i. **In collaboration with course convenors and discipline leads, define value proposition for each course, target audience and optimal marketing mix.
**ii. **Implement digital marketing campaigns including sponsored content, promoted posts, SEM, SEO, and digital display.
**iii. **Continually monitor, review and revise marketing campaigns including PPC and CPC, as well as SEO to meet goals and improve ROI.
**iv. **Run or commission market research to support the introduction of new learning products.
**v. **Prepare and analyse reports evaluating success and make recommendations to improve strategy.
**vi. **Provide budget advice and track expenditure to stay within campaign budgets and enhance ROI.

**i. **Facilitate the creation of communications strategy and work with AFTRS Executive and external communications partners as needed to deliver annual plan.
**ii. **Manage relationship with external publicist to write and put out media releases celebrating AFTRS achievements and thought leadership, and driving student recruitment.
**iii. **Manage day-to-day operations of AFTRS main social media accounts including developing and optimising content and ensuring timely responses to queries and comments.
**iv. **Meet agreed engagement and reach targets across channels.
**v. **Deliver a compelling and consistent tone of voice by writing, editing, and commissioning content for channels.
**vi. **Creation of content calendar and production plan to deliver on agreed targets and goals.
**vii. **Work with agencies, suppliers, and staff to develop and optimise video and other social content.
**viii. **AFTRS Brand - lead, develop and maintain AFTRS brand guidelines and usage.
- Overarching management of AFTRS website architecture and content.

**i. **Working with the Marketing and IT team and contractors or consultants, continue to improve user experience and design of the website in line with the School’s five-year corporate plan.
**ii. **Ensure website content is up to date with accessible, compelling and accurate content that drives SEO.
- Secure and implement promotional partnerships that reach and engage new audiences and positively impact AFTRS brand.
- Support the AFTRS Executive in internal communications to encourage a positive organisation culture.
- Write and edit other collateral as required.
- Create and maintain culturally and psychologically safe learning and working environments.

**About you - you have**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Marketing experience in student recruitment for tertiary education, and/or in the screen/audio industries.
- Experience managing digital marketing and communications, and social media platforms (FB, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.).
- Track record of developing and delivering social media and digital marketing plans to achieve KPIs across awareness, brand development and sales.
- Strong track record developing websites with attention to user experience, accessibility, design and integration with digital and social channels.
