About the Role:
Due to an internal promotion our incredible Internal Communications team have an outstanding permanent part time (4 days per week) vacancy for an experienced Sub Editor, Publications to be based out of our Blackburn, Melbourne office with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sub-edit and proofread articles/stories for print and online publications ensuring they are factually correct and of an excellent standard
- Sub-edit and proofread official documents, videos, books and reports, as required
- Ensure The Salvation Army Style Guide and IHQ Editorial and Literary Orders and Regulations are adhered to
- Ensure articulation of The Salvation Army’s desired mission, message, values and image is consistent and accurate
- Research, interview and write content for magazines, reports and online channels in line with the mission and values of The Salvation Army

About you:

- Tertiary qualifications in media/communications and/or equivalent industry experience
- 5 year’s experience as sub-editor or similar
- Insight and understanding of The Salvation Army’s procedures and operations is an advantage
- Understanding of the print and online process
- Demonstrated high level editing skill
