Coffin and Casket Maker

ACC Higgins services Funeral Directors across the State. An exciting opportunity has now become available for a committed, proactive Coffin and Casket maker to join the group and build a long-term career.

Reporting to the WA Operations Manager you are a ‘Hands On’ operator who has experience working in a timber related industry in coffin/cabinet making and/or completed relevant woodwork qualifications. You will build rapport with customers, industry stakeholders and demonstrate team leadership. You will review daily production scheduling, coordinate weekly production meetings and oversee production activities.

As the team leader for all communications in regard to coffin/casket production, you will prepare monthly reports as required. You will also assist the team in material selection, analysing specifications and making fittings for production assembly. You will oversee the quarterly stocktake and when required be ‘hands on’ with production work.

You will meet Delivery In Full on Time (IFOT) requirements, ensure we obey all OH&S regulations and laws and ensure all machinery and equipment in your department is in good working order with regular maintenance scheduled.

You will support the Operations Manager as required and your ‘can do’ attitude will provide back up support when staff are on leave. You have a high level of customer service, problem solving skills along with strong people and communication skills.
