Hays have partnered with a full-service digital agency that offers marketing, brand development, sales strategy, web development, graphic design, social media strategy, SEO and more. They offer their services to a range of businesses from start-up’s to established companies across Australia, and they have a newly created role for a General Manager of Sales & Marketing to join the team.
**Your new role**
Reporting into the Director, as the General Manager of Sales & Marketing, you will be part of the leadership team in a hands-on role leading the sales strategy and marketing professionals.
You’ll be delivering new business, as well as the marketing strategy for clients, with the ability to lead, develop, and support the team.
With a varied background in website design and digital marketing you will be required to possess the knowledge and skills capacity to be hands-on with the tools and help deliver projects end-to-end when needed.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement sales plans and strategies
- New business development
- Client retention
- Lead client meetings to find out their needs and put a strategy in place for the project
- Provide status reports on project milestones
- Oversee and manage project deliverables, goals and outcomes
- Following on from client meetings, create design briefs for the team
- Manage the day-to-day workflow of your team - content writing, graphic design, digital and web design
- Increase overall sales performance, both in terms of number of deals and total revenue
- Generate and analyse digital marketing reports and manage a digital schedule
- Achieve company growth targets
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the General Manager of Sales & Marketing, you will have the following skill set:
- Previous experience in a sales and marketing management role
- Previous experience at a full-service agency is a MUST
- Strong background in website design, graphic design & digital brand strategy
- Proven track record of bringing in new business in previous roles
- Experience leading teams of 5+ people & external teams
- Client account and project management
- A proven track record in growing previous marketing agencies
- Deliver projects within a timeframe and budget
