You will be required to promote a learning organisation and to implement the necessary changes that need to take place to help build a culture of continuous improvement.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Participate in the HSE committee to ensure compliance with the sites policies, procedures, and statutory requirements
- Maintain effective project control of approved submissions from conception to project completion
- Ensure submission justifications are realized in terms of financial and efficiency benefits as well as ensuring specified equipment standards are met
- Ensure the efficient and timely implementation of approved projects within approved budget
- Provide cost effective maintenance to all plant and equipment
- Maximise machine reliability and availability for production
- Liaise with production personnel and actively pursue all maintenance issues including equipment status, quality, productivity, and waste levels
- Initiate projects (set goals) to improve efficiency, quality and optimize the utilization of plant and equipment to achieve ‘least cost’ production and continuous improvement
- Maintain the sites housekeeping and GMP as per business system

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Experience in managing an engineering and/or maintenance function in a manufacturing environment
- Managing the planning of maintenance programs and the unplanned maintenance whilst keeping the operations running in a challenging environment
- Communication, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, leadership, and judgment skills
- Project Management skills
- Ability to motivate, lead and supervise staff
- Understanding of OHS&E standards, and responsibilities under OHS&E environment legislation
