**Hours**:0.6 FTE fixed term contract until 28/06/2024

**Location**:based in Nuriootpa with the requirement to travel to Gawler

**About the Role**:
As the Peer Practitioner in the Country wellness Connections program, you will work alongside clients to identify and address recovery goals. This is achieved by using a client centred approach to assist clients in developing recovery focused goals and support in achievement of these goals.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience in working with the practice principles of peer work to use own lived experience, and experiential knowledge to share information, skills and strategies that support and promote recovery with clients, families, carers and staff
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of support work with people who have Mental health and/or AOD concerns and the provision of psychosocial supports and non-crisis interventions to clients and families/friends
- Has experienced AOD substance dependence or Mental illness as well as demonstrated successful management and maintenance over an extensive period of time
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment

**Qualification and Other Requirements**:

- Drivers Licence
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or in a process of completing same
- Child Safe Environments
