**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Cybersecurity Analyst is a member of the Cybersecurity team and works across Technology Platforms and Engineering team to assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive cyber security program and ensure that security practice is embedded. Taking technical direction from the senior members of the team, the Cybersecurity Analyst supports the selection and deployment of technical controls to meet specific security requirements, and implements processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained.

This position is responsible for the completion of a broad range of tasks, including the day-to-day administration of information security tools and devices, first-level and second-level support for security information and event management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and includes responsibilities for the security administration of a wide variety of IT systems across CoM.

Your cyber security experience will be highly regarded within this position.

**What you will bring**
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values - accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or industry qualifications such as OSCP, Security+, CEH Certifications.
- Relevant experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures.
- Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management

- _Identity & Access Management / Federated Services / Active Directory_
- _Networking and VPN solutions_
- _DNS, NTP, FTP & Logging, Auditing & Monitoring_
- _Microsoft Windows Server, VMware_
- _Security Information & Event Management systems_
- Knowledge of IT systems, especially:

- _Configuring and securing cloud based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions/services within AWS & Microsoft Azure_
- _Configuration and support of Microsoft Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings such as Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint Online_
- _Network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and associated network protocols and concepts_
- _Windows Desktop Technologies_
- _Windows Active Directory and Group Policy_
