We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker to join our team in support of the NDIS clients. As a crucial member of our organisation, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and ensuring the overall safety and functionality of our facilities, contributing to the well-being and comfort of individuals with disabilities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Grounds Maintenance**:
- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, weeding, pruning, and to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Ensure proper irrigation systems are functioning, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement accessible and inclusive outdoor spaces for individuals with disabilities.
- **Maintenance and Repairs**:
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Perform minor repairs to facilities.
- **Safety and Accessibility**:
- Implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries on the premises.
- Ensure that outdoor spaces and facilities are designed and maintained to be accessible for individuals with disabilities.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment inventory.
- Provide regular reports to management on the status of grounds and facility maintenance.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping and maintenance roles.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment operation.
- Basic skills in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and accessibility standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
**NDIS Understanding**:
- Awareness and understanding of NDIS and its principles.
- Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
Licence/Certification:
- Driver Licence (required)

- Australia (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 50% (required)
