Exploration Geologist

Osborne Park, Australia Dreadnought Resources Ltd Full time

At Dreadnought, we are a driven team of adventurers, exploring Western Australia for the metals for our future.

Working at Dreadnought means no two days are the same; it means challenging the norm; and most importantly, it means teamwork.

**The Role**:
Dreadnought is currently looking for the next discoverer to join the “hardest working team on the ASX” as an Exploration Geologist. You’ll be working side by side with our Senior Exploration Geologists in the field as we execute discovery and resource focused programs and receiving mentoring and training from our hands on Exploration Manager and Managing Director.

You will be immersed in the Dreadnought way of exploration as we progress our pipeline of exploration concepts, across a spectrum of critical commodities, through to discovery and resource. Importantly you will be there as we deliver our first Rare Earth Element and magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE discoveries at Mangaroon, help discover more Cu-Ag-Au-Co massive sulphide in the Kimberley, and unlock the full potential of the Illaara Greenstone Belt in the Yilgarn.

Few other companies have the breadth of geological terranes, critical commodities, or stages of exploration as Dreadnought. This is a great opportunity to join one of the best teams, with the best projects at the best time - right as we drill the discovery holes.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting the exploration Site Manager with field tasks as directed including geology field support, logistics support, facilities and transport support to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of the exploration programs;
- Assisting senior and management personnel with office tasks including report writing, geological interpretation, GIS and data input;
- Working in accordance with all company safety, health, environmental and community relations policies and procedures;
- Operation and maintenance of 4wd vehicles in remote environments;
- Maintaining accurate records; and
- Liaising with Geology Crews and Company Management to support daily work programs and upcoming requirements.

**What to expect**:
Discoveries are made in the field by geologists (and prospectors) who understand what they are looking for, what tools they have available and how, when, and why to use them. With that in mind we strive for a balance of field, office, and break time with a healthy dose of education, training and access to specialists.
- 8:6 roster (field:break) with 1 day office time
- Exposure to multiple commodities (rare earths, nickel, copper, gold, lithium)
- Work will be highly varied including working with drill rigs, sampling, logging, mapping, logistics, office work
- Exposure to working with key stakeholders, native title groups, pastoralists, contractors
- Lots of on-the-job training by a highly skilled technical and operations team
- Projects in the Gascoyne (fly to Exmouth), Kimberley (fly to Broome), Gold fields (fly to Kalgoorlie)
- Opportunities for extracurricular activities (sporting/fitness, conferences, training courses) with a close-knit team

**Who are we looking for?**

Do you dream of being part of a discovery? Want to know what it smells, feels, looks like to hit massive sulphide for the first time? Do you climb to high ground and look out across the bush and wonder where a future mine might be, and what it would take to find one? Do you love four-wheel driving, being out bush, camping and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty doing manual labour - then you are who we are looking for.
- Geoscience degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Must be physically capable
- Willing to work in remote exploration camps
- C class (manual) driver’s license
- Good attitude for working with a diverse group of people

**Salary**: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person

Application Deadline: 07/09/2023
