**Workshop Co-Ordinator**

VEEM is on the lookout for a committed **Workshop Co-ordinator** to help us fine-tune and improve our production processes in our non-ferrous foundry. Reporting to the Foundry Process Engineer, you will assist with day to day operations to ensure targets are met.

**Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to**:

- Supervise the workshop, including the allocation and completion of work in a timely manner with safety and quality inspections
- Procure materials, consumables and equipment required to complete jobs
- Monitor job costs and due dates to ensure that production are completed on time
- Generate work orders for our manufacturing teams
- Manage bills of materials (BOM's) accurately while considering cost and efficiency
- Continuously monitor and control stock on hand
- Produce timely and accurate stock and projects based on current and forecasted needs
- Monitor the production process of work orders
- Complete administrative tasks associated with all aspects of the manufacturing process
- Liaise with external suppliers to ensure products are delivered in full & on time;
- Listing of project requirements;
- Liaising with despatch or local despatch coordinators regarding deliveries;
- Assist Site Managers with arranging deliveries to site;
- Assist Site Managers with ensuring prompt defect rectifications occur;
- Assist Site Managers with ensuring documentation and maintenance of site QSE information;
- Reporting and recording maintenance efforts in accordance with company standards;
- Being an effective liaison with Site Managers and the broader team regarding any actual or anticipated issues arising;
- Accurately list and manage all aspects of jobs, including specifications, ordering, staffing and materials delivery;
- Collaborate closely with the VEEM team to optimize production processes, ensuring that castings meet specifications while being cost-effective.
- Support post-casting processes such as heat treatment, mechanical testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Undertake NATA Certified chemical analysis, NATA Certified Mechanical testing and post casting treatments
- Be a proactive member of the Technical Team, identifying opportunities for preventative maintenance, process improvements, and innovations in production equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering and Metallurgy is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of working in a non-ferrous foundry environment.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Intermediate computer literacy with MS Office and other digital business systems;
- Technically minded with the ability to read & comprehend assembly and component drawings / instructions;
- Have great problem solving skills and ability to work to strict deadlines;
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
