**About our Engineering Team**

The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.

**About the role**

As **Airbus Powerplant Manager**, you will form part of our Engineering management team, with a critical overarching responsibility of managing asset cost for our Airbus fleet.
Reporting to our **Airbus Fleet Manager**, your responsibilities will include:

- Management of A320 IAE V2500 and CFM Leap-1A engines, and Honeywell APU 131-9A
- Managing Airbus Fleet Powerplant team
- Ensure all Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness are assessed, and compliance is effectively managed across the fleet
- Ensure IAE V2500 and CFM Leap-1A engines, and Honeywell APU 131-9A world fleet experience is monitored for safety threats and mitigations are put in place to eliminate exposure to Jetstar fleet
- Review and approve modification programs associated to safety, reliability, and performance
- Key technical focal for powerplant commercial issues including Engine & APU Overhaul Programmes
- Technical Management and Commercial oversight of all Engine Shop visits for the Flight Hours Agreement (FHA) and Time and Materials (T&M) engines
- Development, control, and oversight of IAE V2500 and CFM Leap-1A engines & 131-9A APU Removal Plans and Shop Visit Work Scopes to ensure appropriate management of highly sensitive and financially critical programmes
- Effective management of Projects related to IAE V2500 and CFM Leap-1A engines, and Honeywell APU 131-9A on the A320 fleet
- Key focal for Line Maintenance Engine/APU complex defect rectification to minimize operational disrupts and ensure asset availability
- Delivery of Fleet Technical Management Services for customer airlines in accordance with Service Letter Agreement
- Oversight and decision making for spare Engine Management for Jetstar and customer airlines
- Key point of contact at Jetstar for OEM’s (IAE, Honeywell etc.)

**About you**

**You will bring**:

- Significant experience working as a Powerplants Engineer/Manager (5+ years relevant experience in a similar position)
- Significant experience working on IAE V2500 and CFM Leap-1A and 131-9A APU engine types
- Experience at a High-Capacity Passenger Transport Operator with experience in assessment and disposition of ADs, RDRs, SBs, VSBs and other Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness
- Experience in using aircraft Powerplant Repair Manuals and other associated aircraft Manuals
- Experience with aircraft Configuration Control and management
- Experience in using Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems, preferably TRAX
- Powerplants Engineering background with a Professional Engineering Qualification
- Part 21 Design Organisation Approval is desirable
