We seek qualified childcare professionals with experience leading and managing a childcare centre in an early childhood service.

This is a rare opportunity to take the lead and own a centre that delivers service excellence and care for children and families. Our clients are searching for Centre Directors experienced in building a service to its full potential and incorporating care and compassion into the families they serve.

As the Centre Director, you will manage a team, run the day-to-day administration, and ensure industry regulations are adhered to and meet the National Quality Standards. Initially, you will focus on building rapport and establishing a relationship with this unique service's family, children, and team. The critical part of your role is facilitating a calm, well-executed transition from the current Director to yourself. Understanding the service, families, children, and internal team will be essential.

We are recruiting for several locations throughout Western Australia. These locations are as follows:

- Fremantle
- Hamersley
- Kelmscott
- Bedford
- Broome

**Key Responsibilities**
- Developing and implementing programmes to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development and learning of young children;
- Directing and supervising child care educators in providing care and supervision for young children following the child care national education curriculum;
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre, including new enrolments;
- Ensuring the centre is a safe area for the children, staff and visitors;
- Complying with relevant industry government policies, standards and requirements;
- Responsible for all government reporting and compliance requirements;
- Liaising with parents;
- Liaising with the appropriate government departments/offices regarding children enrolments, parent subsidies, and timely accountability and statistical data entry submission;
- Maintaining accurate records and accounts for the centre;
- Recruiting staff and coordinating professional development/learning.

**Criteria, Knowledge and Skills**
- A child care nationally approved diploma level and higher education and child care qualifications;
- Evidence of at least five years of full-time employment experience as a Child Care Centre Coordinator or Manager in a regulated early childhood education and care centre;
- Strong training skills and computer proficiency;
- Possess sound community development skills and effective programme improvement strategies to continually assess and recommend quality enhancements that positively impact the Centre’s operations;
- Demonstrated organisational and staff management and training skills;
- Excellent communication and writing skills;
- Computer literate;
- High level of fluency in English (written/spoken), including reporting skills;
- Knowledge of the Italian language (preferred but not entirely essential);
- Current knowledge of and commitment to Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities Principles and Practices;
- Current C class driving licence;
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate;
- Covid-19 up-to-date vaccinations and certification;
- Be able to produce a current medical certificate.

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
