**About the Program**

A community-based mental health program that provides support for adults with mental health issues who do not have NDIS funding, and live in the Barwon, Otways and Greater South Coast Regions.

Well Connected is a short-term psychosocial support program. It promotes the importance of connection, wellbeing and inclusion and provides practical support that allows people to live their best lives. The program supports people to improve their confidence in interacting with and feeling included in the community and amongst family, friends and peers.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Wellways Peer and Community Coordinator, The Well Connected Team Leader, will be responsible for supporting f the delivery of the Psychosocial Support Service.

Responsibilities will include:

- Provision of Supervision Monthly to Peer and recovery workers.
- Support the Coordinator to Coordinate all aspects of program implementation and operational supervision of the service.
- Lead a team to deliver high level support services and maximise engagement of people with a psychosocial disability.
- Support data collection of program deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Provide oversight of intake functions in conjunction with Peer and Community Coordinator and intake support roles.
- Facilitate effective working relationships with all key stake holders.
- Support the creation and marketing of group-based programs in the Greater Geelong region for the Well Connected program.
- People Management and Leadership.
- Ensuring effective allocation of all resources.
- Identifying opportunities for quality improvement and enhanced service.
- Ensure the program is aligned with Wellways values, practice principles, framework.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in supervising and leading a team.
- Strong people and co-production skills
- Relevant degree qualification with relevant experience/substantial experience overseeing mental health assessments
- Substantial experience /knowledge in working with people with mental health conditions.
- Understand the requirements of persons with psychosocial and mental health conditions and have an awareness of the issues of care provision in a community.
- Personal Lived experience or any transferrable experience with those living with a disability or mental illness
- Current National Police Check, Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Evidence of right to work within Australia.

This role will require regular travel between Geelong and Great South Coast site and will require the successful applicant to have a current Victorian Driver's License.
