About the role

The Eastern Health Bed Access Unit is currently seeking motivated and dynamic Senior Registered Nurses to join our friendly and dedicated team, based at Wantirna Health.

The Centralised Access Unit coordinates the daily operational decision matrix supporting elective procedural activity, tertiary referral responsibilities, emergency admissions and coordination of patient movement across campus locations.

The Access Unit works with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure timely equitable access to care across all activity streams of the organisation.

The Acute Access Clinicians actively strive to achieve organisational timely access indicators as established by DHHS policy and funding frameworks/operational streams and Eastern Health local patient flow indicators.

These roles have a close working relationship with the Sub-Acute Access Clinician, APD - Patient Access and the Director Patient Access to ensure effective capacity and demand processes regarding timely and appropriate bed allocation and utilisation are congruent with policies and requirements.
