**You'll be responsible for**:

- Ensure Internal Review determinations are soundly based and resolved within the relevant guidelines, policies and legislative requirements
- Collaborate with other Technical Specialists and claims teams in ensuring the effective ‎management of ‎‎claims and advocate ‎the use of ‎alternate ‎strategies as required to progress claims
- Provide superior customer service to all parties and identify solutions to resolve disputes that meet Allianz’ business objectives
- Work closely with claims teams to ensure claims are managed in accordance with legislative requirements and common law practice.
- Represent Allianz at the Personal Injury Commission (PIC) when required.
- Increase awareness and contribute to improvements in claims decision making practices based on insights and knowledge of disputed PIC outcomes
- Contribute to the strengthening of governance, risk management, internal control management and the risk culture of Allianz as it relates to internal reviews
- Identify skill gaps in technical and legal matters and provide input on training needs in conjunction with Team Managers with respect to decision making and claims management practices
- Ensure the business is kept abreast of legislative changes and case law precedents and implement into decision making across the business

**Important to your success**:

- Extensive Workers Compensation experience and knowledge of the relevant legislation
- Customer centric approach when developing strategies and initiatives
- Display a sound level of professional skepticism, being prepared to challenge accepted practice’s, or encourage alternative views
- Ability to plan and priorities effectively, organise tasks, manage competing demands and work autonomously
- Able to partner effectively with different business areas establishing strong professional relationships both internal and externally to influence outcomes
- Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence
- Demonstrates in-depth understanding of strategy development and able to work with multiple teams to align department strategy with organisational vision, translating vision to action to achieve desired results
