**About the Role**
The Procurement Manager is accountable, under limited directions, to perform work that is complex or sensitive, working with a diverse range of stakeholders of the Agency. The role reports to the Executive Officer - Digital Strategy and is responsible for providing specialist procurement advice and support that is timely, accurate, innovative, and solution-based to all complex or non
- complex procurements.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for:
- preparing a range of material, including procurement documentation, contracts, work orders, briefs and other corporate documentation as required;
- undertaking the analysis, review and evaluation of procurement and contracting services to improve service delivery and associated financial health (procurement project compared to budget performance);
- assessing internal processes and initiating process improvement activities that will improve work systems and practices;
- providing specialist procurement and contracting advice to all staff and senior management, with a particular focus on labour hire contractor procurement; and
- preparing a range of material, including procurement documentation, contracts, work orders and other corporate documentation as required;
- providing staff training and sharing information and guidance on procurement protocols and delivering Agency reporting on procurement activity; and
- is expected to work collaboratively and collegiately with members of the team and support each other to achieve optimal outcomes.
**Skills and Experience**
- Knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and guidelines and regulations
- Expertise and technical knowledge in specialist areas
- Strategic planning, program and project management and/or policy development
- Research and analysis on complex or escalated issues
- Stakeholder engagement
**Essential Requirements**
- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement & Contracting) or equivalent tertiary qualification is highly desirable
- You must be an Australian Citizen and successfully complete Police/Security Clearance Checks and Baseline
- Fully vaccinated in accordance with government health guidelines.
**The Benefits**
- Immediate start on contract basis
- Daily rate will be market rate for the role
- Contract to run for 12 months - Full time hours
- Based in Brisbane
