**The role**
As a Procurement and Contracts Manager, you will work alongside senior leaders and business representatives within the University, as well as project teams, to plan and manage contracts and procurement activities. Effective procurement and contract advice and support is integral to enabling the ANU achieve our Digital Master Plan, and in turn, to improving services for our students, researchers, academics, professional staff and the wider university community.

Key responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's IT goals and objectives
- Identify and evaluate potential IT suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to IT procurement
- Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations
- Collaborate with internal IT stakeholders to identify and understand their procurement needs
- Monitor and report on IT procurement performance and identify areas for improvement
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IT procurement

**About you**

We are looking for clever and creative, passionate and energetic people with different skills, backgrounds, and experiences to help us achieve our digital goals. IT experience is great, but not required.
- Previous procurement experience
- A track record of successfully delivering complex procurement solutions, with a mature level of proficiency in contract management, procurement principles, program & project management, and complicated contract negotiations
- Client and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ideally, hold a combination of technical and commercial education and experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Technical and analytical writing skills
- Previous experience in coordinating multiple priorities simultaneously with competing demands
- Strong analytic and creative problem-solving ability
- Robust computer skills - high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, some exposure to SharePoint and Power BI would be advantageous
