Brisbane, Australia HAYS Full time

Busy state government department seeking Program Scheduler for a procurement transformation program.

**Your new company**

Hays have partnered with a thriving state government department to appoint a Program Scheduler to an initial 6-month contract on a procurement transformation program. With a strong chance of extension, this isn't a role you'll want to miss

**Your new role**

As the Program Scheduler, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing program and project schedules for this piece of work. Providing expert advice on planning/scheduling to contribute to successful program delivery, your day-to-day will include:

- Establishing improvement initiatives for planning and scheduling, including related processes and templates
- Working closely with stakeholders across the program and portfolio to maintain alignment and quality
- Ensure proper planning by identifying interdependencies and documenting resulting schedules
- Managing and reporting on performance against schedule baselines

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will be an experienced project professional, with extensive experience using scheduling tools (MS Project and Jira) and knowledge in planning, scheduling, resource and financial management. You'll possess experience working in complex program/portfolio environments, and you'll be adept with the facilitation of planning workshops to assess team objectives and interdependencies across the program. You'll also bring experience from outside the scheduling world (as a Business Analyst, Project Lead etc.) with you that will support your ability to undertake other project tasks as required.

**What you'll get in return**

You'll be offered an initial 6-month contract, with a strong chance of this assignment extending given the amount of work required on this program. You'll work with an established team of project professionals that will support your day-to-day activities/objectives, and be remunerated at an attractive daily rate up to $1026.27 including superannuation.

**What you need to do now**

If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
