Security Certification Consultant

**Position: Security Certification Consultant**

**SFIA Levels 5**

**Reports to: ICTSB - Integrated Risk Management (IRM).**

**Position Description: Our client in Canberra is seeking a Certification Consultant who will work within the IRM area of ICT Security Branch.**
The Security Certification Consultant will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:

- Assessments of proposed ICT designs and solutions for Warfighting Networks and Applications program.
- Security threat and risk assessment identification.
- Assessment of security accreditation artefacts.
- Stakeholder management, and communication of security concepts to non
- technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
- Manage, develop, and support complex relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goals.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in security systems assessments or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of NIST SP-37 Rev.2
- Demonstrated understanding of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM)
- Demonstrated security experience within complex ICT environment.
- Must hold a CISM, CISSP or GSLC certification; and
- Must hold a CISA, CRISC, GSNA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or PCI QSA certification.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**
- ASD certified IRAP assessor
- Demonstrated understanding of NIST SP-137
- Experience working with Cross Domain Solutions, Gateways, and Cloud
- Experience working within the Defence environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Defence Security Principles Framework.
- Experience undertaking security assessments in Commonwealth Government context.
- Team Lead expected work arrangement.
- Mon - Fri business hours
- Canberra based. Available to travel to CBR.

**ITAR**
- controlled ICT (hardware and software) products.

**Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain at least a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance before commencement of work. (NV2 preferred).**
Length of Contract: 06 months contract with possible extension later.
