Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking Food Services Assistant to join our hospitality team on a **casual basis**. In this fast paced and varied environment you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

You will assist in effectively serving our patient, doctor, and staff meals with particular attention to patient dietary needs, & assist with function catering at a consistently high standard and within HACCP guidelines.

**As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
- Provide high standard of customer service
- Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

**Essential Criteria**:

- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check
- 1-2 years’ hospitality experience
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Commitment to service excellence.
- Strong communication and customer skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well independently and within a team
- Available for on call shifts

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Previous experience in a hospital or hospitality setting
- Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality
