Dental Receptionist/practice Manager

We are a small, tight knit group working together in a busy, two chair practice and there is scope to add a new location adding more chairs as we grow. Our practice prides itself on being a warm, inclusive, respectful place and serving the community with a high level of modern dentistry.

Skills required:

- Previous knowledge of dental reception/management
- Strong communication skills
- Conflict management skills
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Team management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of dental healthcare principles.
- Creating duty rotas for Dentists and other staff of the practice
- Scheduling and confirming dental appointments
- Filling and maintaining patient medical records
- Hiring, training and supervising administrative support staff
- Maintaining a stock list of drugs, stationery and office equipment
- Organising building maintenance, security and cleaning services
- Ensuring that the practice meets legal, health and safety and other regulatory guidelines
- Social media and website management
- Maintaining and updating policy and procedure manuals
- Bi annual/annual practice service management

We are located in the heart of Thornbury, within the hustle and bustle of High Street. The busy 86 tram stops right out front of our doors and we are a 5 minute walk away from Croxton train station. There is all day parking available.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- THORNBURY, VIC 3071: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Dental reception: 3 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- working in a dental practice: 3 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
