As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and share our conversation story - we have an opportunity for two passionate, energetic and experienced part time Farmyard Keepers to support our dedicated Wildlife team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Life Sciences Manager, our passionate Farmyard Keepers work to ensure the welfare of our animal collection by ensuring a high level of animal health and daily husbandry of various farmyard animals and their enclosures. As our passionate and hands-on Keeper, you will support the food preparation and the delivery of animal’s diets.

This role will require a high level of maintenance of the general amenity of the area of responsibility. It will involve duties such as, but not limited to; animal husbandry, animal health, exhibit maintenance, keeper talks, and display excellent customer service and park knowledge to drive the visitor experience and share our conservation stories.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with farmyard animals. In addition, you must be able to deliver high levels of customer service in an energetic, friendly, and professional manner within a busy environment. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Animal handling, husbandry skills and ability to work alone is essential.
- Cert III Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care qualification highly regarded.
- High level of energy, communication skills and teamwork skills.
- Energetic and friendly personality and confidence with domestic and international visitors
- You must be able to work with a variety of farmyard animals including birds, reptiles and mammals.
- Appropriate fitness to walk long distances, stand for long periods and ability to carry / support up to 10kg for a prolonged period.
- Hold a current manual Driver’s licence and current First Aid qualifications is highly desirable.
- Flexible and availability to work across weekends and school holidays.
