**THE ROLE**:

We are passionate about developing our Graduates knowledge and skills not only within the Australian Public Service, but utilising Austrade’s unique position between the APS and Australian companies to provide valuable insight and experience, working with commercial entities and developing well rounded expertise.
During the graduate program you will complete three placements across a tailored 12-month program and get first-hand experience across a range of the Australian Governments priorities. You will gain access to our fantastic mentoring program, where a dedicated in-house mentor will be provided to you for the entire year, providing you with support to integrate seamlessly into our agency.
The graduate program will commence in early 2025, and the graduates can work from Austrade offices on the lands of the Kaurna People (Adelaide), Jagera and Turrbal People (Brisbane), Ngunnawal and Ngambri People (Canberra), Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung People of the Eastern Kulin (Melbourne) and the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation (Sydney) and will commence in early 2025.
Graduates will be paid APS3 classification and advancing to an APS4 classification upon successful completion of the program.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
We are looking for graduates with a range of experiences from diverse backgrounds. We would particularly welcome interest from First Nations applicants, and as an international business, cultural capability and non-English language proficiency are highly regarded.
As an Austrade graduate, you will have a genuine interest in working with Australia’s international partners to tackle global challenges, increase international trade and investment, understand and build client-servicing capability, protect international directions to keep our region stable and help Australians overseas.

**ELIGIBILITY**:
- Have finished at least a bachelor’s degree between 31 December 2019 and 31 December 2024.
If your only qualification is from an overseas institution, you will need to provide Australian documentation recognising your qualification(s). Refer to the Department of Education for more information about recognition of overseas qualifications.
Successful applicants will be placed in a merit pool and may be considered for further roles in Austrade.
