- APS4 equivalent $43.82 + p/h + super
- Located in Brisbane, Queensland
- Up to 12 months with potential to extend, pending business and performance requirements.

**About the Team**
The Fraud Intelligence and Investigations Branch is dedicated to detecting and responding to internal and external payment fraud against the Scheme. Our focus is on safeguarding the Scheme's financial sustainability, enhancing fraud control arrangements, and supporting the Fraud Fusion Taskforce to bolster the Commonwealth's fraud detection and response capability.

**About the Role**
- Review and audit participant and provider data from multiple sources, assessing inconsistencies to ensure correct services and payments align with legislation and policies.
- Assess and mitigate the risk of non-compliance by participants and providers, including instances of fund misuse and self-managed participants claiming unsupported supports.
- Escalate information and complex cases to relevant teams for remediation in accordance with legislation, policies, and functional responsibilities.
- Make decisions on fraud intelligence activity outcomes based on policies and legislation, under the support and general direction of senior staff.
- Utilise a range of analytical tools and databases to collect, collate, and maintain data records.

**About you**
To thrive in this role, you need:

- Demonstrated understanding of fraud detection, compliance, and investigation principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously within defined parameters and as part of a team.
- Experience in using analytical tools and databases preferred.
- Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
- Must be an **Australian Citizen.
