Darebin City Council’s City Development team is going through an exciting expansion period, and we’re seeking enthusiastic, fun, innovative and talented people to join our organisation.

**About the role**

The role is a permanent, full-time position.

**About City of Darebin and Council**
Darebin is situated on the Traditional Owner lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people. It is home to many Aboriginal community-controlled organisations, and a large number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people work, live and play within the municipality.

**Duties**
Several of the key duties of the positions include:

- Provide quality and professional advice to customers.
- Prepare submissions and represent Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
- Assist in the review and monitoring of planning policies and procedures.
- Undertake other duties as directed within the skills and abilities of a position at this level.

**Skills & Experience**
Several of the key skills and experiences of the positions include:

- Well developed understanding of the Victorian urban planning system and related acts.
- Ability to research and analyse planning related issues.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and prepare and implement work plans in order to achieve desired results within the resources and time available.
- Well developed customer service principles.
