About the Role
Transformation Change Lead
The Transformation Change Lead will be a critical member of the Future Enablement Team that has accountabilities for the readiness of the organisation’s future ways of working, governance, and people capability.
This role focuses on driving people change, including engagement and communication with senior internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing and executing the Retail Transformation's change and communication strategy, ensuring a cohesive narrative that fosters sustained engagement and commitment to simplification, digitization, and seamless experiences. The role also involves partnering with stakeholders and project streams to create a unified change and engagement strategy across internal and external stakeholders, encompassing employees at all levels, the market, the Board, unions, and regulatory authorities.
Key responsibilities include driving engagement and communication strategies with various stakeholders and managing change across Retail Transformation, considering broader business as usual context and critical dependencies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with senior leadership and various program streams to develop a cohesive change and engagement strategy for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with employees at all levels and key external entities.- Lead a team to define requirements and maintain consistency in messaging across the transformation program, collaborating with leaders and experts.- Direct teams to deliver timely change communications within the transformation program to internal audiences, including the program Change team, internal Communication teams, and external vendors.- Monitor and enhance the effectiveness of change and communication initiatives.- Lead the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans, identifying and managing dependencies across different workstreams.- Drive successful change adoption by proactively managing risks, implementing metrics, and devising innovative strategies to meet diverse employee needs.- Tailor communication approaches to different audiences in alignment with the wider transformation program’s vision, ensuring resonance at all organizational levels.- Act as a role model to cultivate a positive organisational culture that embraces change, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About You
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Strong ability to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders, fostering robust relationships.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels, crucial for maintaining key stakeholder connections.- Proficient in translating strategic visions into actionable plans, utilizing diverse problem-solving frameworks.- Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale organizational transformations, with a minimum of 8-10 years in change management.- Resilient and adaptable, adept at navigating complex and evolving organizational landscapes within fast-paced environments.- Experienced in leading collaboration and alignment across geographically dispersed teams, with proven leadership in change management and communication teams. Additionally, possessing a deep understanding of the Energy retail industry, preferably with certifications in change management methodologies and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree preferred.
