Bialik College is a cross-communal Jewish Zionist school, embracing an inclusive approach to Judaism. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn, creating a close-knit community of students and learners from as young as three months old in our Children’s Centre, three years old in the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 in the Senior School. **About the role**

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our dynamic team. As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal growth of our secondary school students. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to our vibrant school community.

**What you'll be doing**
- Designing and delivering engaging English lessons that challenge and inspire students
- Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to support their learning
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and assessment strategies
- Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
- Continuously improving your teaching practice through professional development and reflection

**What we're looking for**
- VIT Registration and relevant tertiary qualifications
- Proven experience teaching English to Australian secondary school students, with a strong understanding of the curriculum
- Ability/interest to teach VCE is desirable with experience preferable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- A commitment to fostering a love of learning and supporting the holistic development of students
- Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate with the broader school community
