**About You**

You enjoy being involved in your local community and have a commitment to assisting learner drivers to gain the required hours and skills to attain their licence and become safe drivers.

You want to utilise your qualification(s), knowledge and experience to create opportunities that improve the lives of people at all levels of community.

You will build credible relationships with key stakeholders to deliver the right choices, achieved through the development of trust across all people we work with.

You will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of coaching and mentoring others.

With exceptional knowledge of Service NSW regulations and NSW road rules, you will be an experienced driver with a clean driving record.

You will hold a current Cert IV Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Car Driving Instruction) TLI41222 or equivalent and NSW Driving Instructors Licence. You will also have (or be prepared to obtain) a NSW Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check. A desirable attribute would be to hold current Certificate IV Trainer Assessor qualification and/or Safer Drivers Course Facilitator/Coach qualifications, or a willingness to obtain.

**About the Role**

Drive4Life Driver Training was established as part of Joblink Plus in direct response to the changes in the graduating licensing system requiring 120 hours of supervised driving before being eligible for a provisional licence. Drive4Life directly supports people to gain a licence in a pathway to employment across the Joblink Plus footprint. In collaboration with Joblink Plus staff, Drive4Life creates tailored lessons catering to Participant circumstances & driving experience.

The Driving Instructor is responsible for providing best practice driver education, delivering instruction in the principles of low-risk safe driving to learner drivers on our roads.

Based in Newcastle you will work on an as needs casual basis where flexible working hours will be available. The position will also require some travel to service areas of Hunter Region.
