This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
Position Responsibilities and Tasks
- Collect, analyze, and organize procurement-related information including supplier data, purchase orders, contracts, and pricing details.
- Liaise with procurement teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration throughout the procurement process.
- Utilize procurement software and databases to input and update information accurately, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for relevant parties.
- Track the progress of procurement requests, approvals, and deliveries, identifying any bottlenecks or delays and taking proactive measures to address them.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, such as spending patterns, vendor performance, and compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Provide insights and analysis based on procurement data to inform strategic decisions regarding vendor selection, contract negotiations, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement, and ensure that procurement activities adhere to all applicable requirements.
- Assist in evaluating potential suppliers by gathering and analyzing information on their capabilities, reliability, and performance history.
- Assist in the administration of procurement contracts, including tracking key dates, terms, and obligations, and communicating with vendors as necessary.
- Offer guidance and training to internal stakeholders on procurement processes, systems, and best practices, ensuring that they understand their roles and responsibilities in the procurement process.
- Implement efficient workflows and procedures to facilitate smooth operations within the company, including managing paperwork, handling correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, and coordinating with warehouse personnel to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction with the company's products and services.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Relevant Qualification
- A minimum of two-three years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong data analysis skills to make informed procurement decisions.
- Proficient in negotiating favourable terms and contracts with suppliers.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate and plan for future procurement needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement documentation and compliance.
**Salary**:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
