Content Writer

**The Opportunity**

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive writer to join the Content & Channels team as a Content Writer for the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences (MNHS) at Monash University.

The Content Writer will use data-driven insights to plan, source and develop stories and social posts, as well
as re-write and edit material that elevates the Faculty’s profile and helps advance the Faculty's strategic objectives.

Working with the Content & Channels Manager, content will be curated and disseminated to media, as well as University and Faculty owned and paid communication channels. The Content Writer may also provide support to strategic projects, policy interpretation and advice as required.

The Content Writer operates with excellence and expertise in communications writing, process and judgement, leveraging their internal partnerships and networks to provide sound and timely written content and content advice tailored to a variety of audiences.

We are looking for applicants who have:

- Excellent written skills with a clear focus on attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex health and medical science to a general audience
- Demonstrated experience in researching, writing and publishing successful communication pieces, including articles, media releases, printed collateral and digital content, that target key audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain high-level relationships with an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, implementing improvements and meeting deadlines
- Excellent relationship management and consulting skills, including the ability to interact, influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders regarding content material
